Practicing on birds at my feeder.

Hi friends,  There isn’t much going on in my world  for pictures this winter other than the eagles. They are getting more skittish and harder to get after they saw my camera lens in the small opening I take photos through , they don’t call those eagle eyes for nothing!

I like to practice on the birds at my feeders on really cold days like we had today. The wind was terrible, and the birds skittish.  I got a new camera for Christmas . It’s a nice little camera for everyday. Hubby bought me the Nikon D3200, and it takes pretty good pictures in sport mode. I cheated a little using that as I usually shoot in manual mode. I’m not after quality shots, just playing. All the small birds were taken with it through the window, most while it was snowing, the  eagles were with my D7000 Nikon in manual mode.

Next month I am going out in the woods and try  to get a bobcat or fox in the snow before winters end. I am still trying to get the eagles for another week or two. They will go off to nest soon, I will miss those beautiful birds. Frustrating as they are to photograph in my set up, I was happy to get some pretty good shots this winter.

Here are a few photos I have taken lately, have a great week!  Until next time………………..

About wildlife4me

I am just an old country girl at heart that loves being out in the woods. My list of loves includes camping, hiking, fishing, some hunting, but most of all photography. I like to hunt for shed antlers, it's a great way to get exercise, and I sometimes come across wildlife while walking. I'm very comfortable in the woods and would love to share with you some of my encounters and photographs.
